Apparently it doesn't fucking matter

C's involved in a project even, it sounds awesome based on the songs online, description, and big concept. But no fucking dice.

Jeezus bloody hell. It's more or less like KCA, A, TSF, L&W,

fucking lame, pre-judging faggots.

When the fucking thing becomes popular, those clowns should but probably won't give me much if any due. Fuckers.

Nothing is likely aside from just avoiding wasting my time and keeping brilliance to myself and anyone who actually bothers to find my writings.

The reviews will go up and whether any more interest happens or not, I can't expect any. There are 1 or 2 spots worth trying I guess. But some people's impatience and ignorance is face-palm worthy.

Grammar

Since when was using 100% book-taught grammar ever as or any more effective in trying to communicate?

I probably could predict how often people to me and many others make it their one and only argument or criticism. And while at times it can stick out like a sore thumb, in the cases where I am guilty (or not guilty considering I have a fucking learning disability in the 1st place) of it, I don't recall once when pointed out, it ever made what I wrote any effective in communicating. In fact in some cases it probably was MORE effective. Why I say that is if it does stand out and someone responds, obviously I got their attention. Perhaps for more than one reason.

And the people who seem to go out of their their way doing this

a) obviously don't know me. know anything about me. and I suppose would have no fucking clue that I do have a learning disability, and really couldn't care less if my grammar isn't 100% book-taught. It's not like I'm being paid to write am I? Last time I checked, I wasn't.

does it bug me when my grammar isn't perfect? I would be lying if I said no, but I don't..ya know let me grab that thing I wrote.

I write a lot of things in here without proofreading them. Or only

briefly proofreading them. Why? Having to spending long chunks of time

proofreading is not the point of a or this blog. The point of this blog is to

communicate. Spending a large percentage of the time proofreading

is an unproductive use of my time. The communication and dictation

is still being done not matter how (close-to) perfect the spelling

and grammar is. And if there is anything that is significant enough

to improve communication and the kind of content for dictation, then

editing it later on when I can is the best and most convenient way to

do that.

I mean it's not like I'm being paid to do this, or even being published

anywhere else, lol. Jeezus.

I guess I could just quit writing. Not swallow any pride. Admit I have a grammar problem. But if I do that, then I see it as these nazis getting under my skin. Although I hardly would have a problem with quitting, at least on the boards. The blog is mine. Nobody controls anything in there but myself. But rateyourmusic, last.fm, imdb, okc, etc I could just never post again Lol, I could put down I have a grammar disability. I would love to message or im, but I fear my grammar will show me in a bad light. So I would only care to talk on the phone or meet in person.

Seriously, that actually sounds like something worth trying. Man, women are picky. But at least some of the one's I've run across over the last few days aren't flaky. That's better, but in some ways doesn't help me anymore save for knowing they are picky going-in. They say I'm "not their type"or "not a match"..I'd like to know what women I "am their type" or "a match" that I am interested in as well. But as I've said many times, I suspect she doesn't exist.

Ohh-kayy-stewww-pihhhd

Wow, the level of douche-ery on the so-called "journals" on okcupid.com has never left. What maybe gets me the most is the people shooting their mouths off on others journals, almost always seem to be from other places. One of them was from Wisconsin, but hardly someone who'd I'd think would stumble upon my "journal" there. She's not single. So basically she has nothing better to do than act like a feeble-minded tactless waste of time that her comment came across as.

But the others, are from parts of the UK. So, again, why exactly do they read said journal and feel the need to leave a less than supportive comment on said "journal"?

"The internet is usually wrong" as Tom Hanks said the other night on Conan. There's probably a lot more truth to that than most would think.

But the internet is also littered with trolling judgemental faggots that the highlight of their lives is to think they got under someone's skin (but failed miserably).

edit:
lol, someone reported the pic of me from the newspaper when I was 3. A huge FUCK YOU to whoever did that. THAT PICTURE HAS ME IN IT. LAST TIME I CHECKED, THAT'S WHAT WAS REQUIRED.

I somehow suspect it was done by one of those trolls who stumbled upon that journal wrote. Of course there's no real explanation as to why it was specifically removed.

IMPORTANT: One of your Pictures has been removed.

Jan. 26, 2010 – 7:33pm

Hi from OkCupid.

One of your photos was flagged by OkCupid users for being inappropriate. After being reviewed and voted on by our moderators the consensus was to remove the photo.

The most common reasons for picture removal are:

  • 1. The picture doesn't have YOU in it.

  • 2. Cropping that doesn't show your face

  • 3. Copyrighted material

  • 4. Extreme closeups

  • 5. Non-photos or photos of pets, children, etc.

  • 6. Celebrity/fake uploads

  • 7. Disgusting stuff that scars us

  • 8. Porn or nudity

As a rule of thumb, upload only photos of yourself
(your pets, children, and artwork belong elsewhere),
and make sure your face (not your tattoo or eyeball) is chosen
with the thumbnail selector.

Remember, OkCupid is free, so please obey good etiquette and try to positively impact the community.

"flagged by OKCupid Users" that makes me wonder if it was that flake. But given she would have had to have actually viewed or "visited" my profile again to flag it, I suspect it wasn't her but one of those fuckstick trolls. Well I re-uploaded it and wrote specifically about what the photo is and how it actually is me. None of those criteria above would explain why it would be removed. The only possible one would be the fact it's me, but when I was 3. That criteria does not say a damn thing about how old the photo has to be. And the fact is, it is me. I have dozens and dozens of people who could vouch for that.

Land of 10,000 Flakey Women

Today – 2:17pm

yes, I've encountered another. I sometimes think this site attracts them. I.e. you start instant messaging someone and they don't really add much to the conversation. One-word answers and not really bringing up conversation topics. And then you ask if they'd like to talk on the phone, they shoot you down "I don't think so." That's fucking flaky. Sorry, but it is. First off, if you're trying to get to know someone, instant-messaging only can last so-long before it becomes a waste of time. It hides wayyyy too much about someone's personality. Cut to mother-fucking chase already. Time is limited. Life is short. I don't take 1-week vacations, especially in-town without a ton of plans very often. Like maybe once every 5 years. If you are asked to talk on the phone, and you say "I don't think so" you're really just wasting yours and my own time.

well, she somehow saw this and took offense to it. Lol, okay, as I wrote there, YOU DON'T GET TO KNOW SOMEONE VIA INSTANT-MESSENGING. THAT'S WHY I ASKED TO CALL HER. Jeezus, but somehow that didn't register anything with her. And she takes offense to me writing in my "journal" about it. Frankly, I didn't mention her name or any details. And if it "really wasn't going anywhere" why the fuck did she feel the need to even send me another message?..I said nothing back to her after she said "I don't think so." Nothing needed to be said directly to her. Writing in my "journal" should be perfectly find and understandable. Jeezus..hell, maybe it'll do her some good knowing that if someone asks you to talk on the phone given the lack of chemistry via instant-messaging, maybe she'll think twice about saying "I don't think so."

Granted, she could have said nothing and that would have been worse. But it's these blue-faced unexplainable explanations that make these women so fucking flaky. Flake Flake Flake. I mean why the fuck did she even accept the messages from me in the 1st place? Flaky, false lead-ons. Sorry, but I didn't do anything wrong here by asking to call her. She could have at least said "not now" or "I'm not sure if I know you well enough" or something..which still would be flaky, but less so.

The only non-flaky women I've ever encountered on that site were the one's who approached me. Granted, this is an "Ice breaker." I think I should mention the whole thing about wanting to talk on the phone. I had that on my profile for awhile, and removed it, as it seemed forward. But ya know at least if it was there, all the beating-around-the-bush would be avoided. Hell, I think it I may just mention something to that affect in those IceBreakers. That way, there's no bullshit about how fast contact is made and what not.

Did I want to meet this girl soon? maybe. But I sure as hell have spent far too many times bullshitting on im's. Most the women I talk to NEVER FEED THE CONVERSATION. So they are either totally bored by me (or distracted), or really fucking boring people themselves, which I frankly would have no business trying to get to know. But, at least if I got them on the phone, I'd have a better idea. Most of the chats on the phone have gone far better than im's. I almost would like to put down I'm not interested in ever talking on im. Thus it's either a few messages and then phone or meeting, or nothing. Much more efficient.

"Prog" vs "Progressive"

"You take the Progressive sound; keyboards, weird time signatures, yadayadayada. That's "Regressive" by it's very definition. "Progressive" says you take the perceived rules, you disregard them, and then you do what your art says you do." - James Bickers

To my mind, there's an interesting, rough-and-ready division in the world of "progressive" music (a category-name I don't like, in any event) between the more avante-garde/experimental or "free-spirited" wing, and, say, the more -- how to describe it? -- "working-in-a-kind-of-tradition" approach, which could be described in terms of certain dominant characteristics that *almost* sum to a kind of "formula": long songs, working in odd times (and working in them in a definite way), conveying an "epic" feel, addressing "deep" topics lyrically, employing certain sounds, timbres, and textures, and so on. Though I'm certainly guilty of having worked in terms of the latter approach, my heart is definitely with the former -- to me that's where the real "action" is.

A simple way to illustrate the difference is to name a few bands that might plausibly fall under each category. In the latter, I'll put bands like Spock's Beard, Dream Theater, IQ, Kansas, Gentle Giant, post-Gabriel-pre-Abacab Genesis, post-Close-to-the-Edge Yes, etc. In the former, I'd put King Crimson (espec. from "Red" onwards), Gabriel solo, much of Rush, Radiohead, latter Porcupine Tree, and other more unlikely borderline cases -- like The Police, U2, Our Lady Peace, and other bands which don't so much exemplify a genre or sound as go to define one of their own (Primus or Rage Against the Machine even). As an aside, I think it's an interesting exercise to ponder where Marillion might go (or perhaps at different points they belong in different places?!)."-Paul Craddick former drummer for Enchant
